Description

The granary and stable at Ashbys, dating from around 1800, is constructed of rubblestone with brick dressings and features a pyramidal tiled roof. The building is two stories high and has three windows. It includes a central stable door with a segmental arch, and triangular-headed windows on either side. Above the stable door is a square planked loading door, which is flanked by two small bull's eye openings. To the right, there is an attached single-storey store shed with a planked door and a circular window set into a curved wall. The interior still has its upper floor, which was used as a cowshed during the 20th century.
