Description

This is a terrace of three houses, now used as two separate properties, built in the late 18th century. The houses are located on Gloucester Street in Malmesbury. They are constructed from limestone rubble, with the left-hand pair rendered, and feature brick stacks and a stone slate roof. The buildings are two rooms deep, and each has two storeys and a basement. They originally presented a one-window facade to the street.

The left-hand house has a doorway with a half-glazed door and a 19th-century shop front. The shopfront includes a central doorway with a boarded door and a hoist door in the first floor, both with small casements set beneath the eaves. The right-hand house has a doorway with a boarded door. It features an 8/8-pane sash window on the ground floor and a later 3/3-pane sash on the first floor, both in exposed boxes. To the left of the ground-floor window is a straight joint indicating a blocked window, with 20th-century brick infill above it, below the first-floor window. The interior of the properties has not been inspected.
