Description
The granary at Clarendon House, dating from the 18th century, is located west of the stables. It is constructed with a timber frame and weatherboarding, resting on nine three-foot staddles, and features a tiled roof. The building has a gable end door with a pitching door above it, and paned windows have been inserted into the side. The roof is half hipped at the west end.
Inside, the granary consists of three bays with jowelled main posts, ties that include paired angle braces, queen struts, collars, and staggered purlins, showcasing a good quality frame.
