Description
The dovecote at Clarendon House, now used as a wine store, dates from the 18th century. It is constructed of chequered brick bound with iron bars and features a tiled roof. The building has an octagonal plan with a tall central glover, which was rebuilt around 1900 and also has an octagonal tiled roof. There are alighting holes with ledges and a clock on two faces, along with a wind vane at the apex. The south side has a door and a small window. Inside, there are 23 tiers of nest holes, some of which are blocked, as well as a timber framework for potence.
