Description

Coombe Cottage is a house dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. It features a timber frame, which has mostly been replaced by brick-laced flint, with framing visible above the wallplate. The cottage has a thatched roof and originally had its gable end facing the road. It is a single-storey building with an attic and consists of two bays. The cottage was extended to the rear along the road in the late 18th to early 19th century. The gable end has a six-pane door, with the upper panels glazed and a simple canopy above. The ground floor includes 19th-century two and three-light casements with segmental heads. There is an external stack on the front and at the end gable of the extension.
