Description
No 24 is a cottage located in Enford Coombe, likely dating from the 18th century. The building features rendered timber framing and a thatched roof. It is a single-storey structure with an attic, consisting of one bay. There is a gable entry that leads into a service room located behind the stack, as well as an inner room. The entrance has a boarded door, and the windows are modern with 20th-century panes. The walls are supported by buttresses. The thatched roof is hipped and extends over a dormer in the central room, with a large 20th-century dormer at the rear. This cottage is an unusual example of a peasant dwelling that has survived to the present day.
