Description
Loose boxes located to the south of Byam's Farmhouse are former cow byres that date back to the 18th century, with some alterations made in the 19th century. The structure features circular stone piers, coursed rubble on the rear and end walls, and a gabled stone slate roof. It is an eight-bay range with two-leaf plank doors leading to the 19th-century loose boxes, which are set back within the building. These loose boxes are included in the listing primarily for their group value within the complex of buildings that make up Byam's Farm.
