Description

The dole stone, located in the churchyard about 5 meters northwest of the north porch of the Church of St Mary, dates back to the 15th century and is made of ashlar. It resembles a chest tomb, featuring a moulded base and a heavy cap stone, with the sides adorned with deeply moulded stonework. Each end displays a cross within a quatrefoil. The south side includes a shield on an octofoil, a cusped panel, a cusped diagonal cross, and half of an octofoil with a shield. The north side features a cusped panel, a quatrefoil with a cross, another cusped panel, and a shield on an octofoil. It is possibly a chest tomb constructed from 15th-century stonework.
