Description

The building at the rear of Nos 1 and 1A Fore Street is a late 17th century to early 18th century brick structure, built in English bond and rising three storeys. It is associated with a weavers' workshop located at the rear of No 2 Fore Street. The building features four ranges of two-light casement windows on the first and second floors, while the ground floor openings are obscured by undergrowth. There is a narrow tall blocked archway on the north side, which may indicate the former position of a steam engine. The roof is covered with double Roman tiles.
