Description
East End Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates back to around 1600, with alterations made in the late 17th century. It is constructed from rubble stone and features a chamfered plinth, a tiled roof, and brick stacks. The building is single storey with an attic and has four windows. There is a planked door located to the left of the centre, accompanied by a 3-light casement window to the left, a 6-pane fixed window, and two 3-light casements to the right. The roof includes four full gabled dormers with coped verges and 3-light hollow-chamfered mullioned casements.
To the left, there is a 19th-century single-storey extension that has a planked door and casement windows. The rear of the farmhouse features a shallow gabled cross wing on the left with a fixed window and single-light casements. To the left of this is a lean-to greenhouse, and to the right is a 2-light hollow-chamfered mullioned casement with a relieving arch and a gabled stair turret. The right side also includes a 3-light casement and a planked door. In the attic, there are two half dormers with 2-light casements, while the first floor has a 2-light recessed chamfered mullioned casement to the left of the stair turret. Inside, the farmhouse contains deep chamfered beams, planked doors, and a blocked open fireplace.
