Description
Shaston Way is a detached cottage dating from the 17th century. It is constructed of rubble stone and features a thatched roof with gable end brick stacks and coped verges. The gable end faces the road. The cottage is single storey with an attic and has three windows. There is a six-panelled door located in a thatched porch, alongside two 2-light casements; one is in a blocked doorway and there are small fire windows to the left, as well as a 3-light casement. To the right, there are French windows and another 2-light casement. The attic includes two eyebrow dormers with two 2-light casements and one 3-light casement. The left side of the cottage facing the road has no windows. The rear and interior were not accessible during the survey in February 1986, but it is reported to have an open fireplace and chamfered beams.
