Description
This is a house located at 65 High Street in Malmesbury, dating from the early to mid-18th century. It is constructed of roughcast limestone rubble and features gable stacks and a stone slate roof. The building has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys tall with a three-window range. Originally, it had a symmetrical front with a six-panel door. The windows have been updated to late 19th-century 2/2-pane horned sashes. There is also a mid-19th-century shop front on the right side, which includes narrow pilasters supporting a fascia and cornice, a half-glazed doorway, and an eight-pane window. Inside, the house features a through-passage with a chamfered, stopped beam and a side door leading into the shop, which has cupboards flanking the fireplace.
