Description

A house, now a pub, dating from the mid-18th century, originally known as The Greyhound Inn. The building is constructed of limestone rubble with gable stacks and an asbestos tile roof. It has a double-depth plan and two storeys, with a three-window façade. The front of the building features heavy timber lintels above a wide central opening with 20th-century double doors. Flanking this are 8/8-pane sash windows with fine bars. First-floor windows, positioned below the eaves, have 4/8-pane sashes. The interior shows removal of ground-floor partitions. Original features include chamfered spine beams with run-out stops, and there are reported roof timbers.
