Description
The churchyard gatepiers, gates, and wall to the north of St Mary's Chapel date from the early to mid 19th century and are constructed of ashlar. They feature two octagonal gatepiers with projecting plinths and moulded tops that have crenellations. A plain wrought-iron gate is present between the gatepiers. From the eastern gatepier, a short section of wall extends downhill to the edge of the cliff, made of ashlar blocks and also topped with crenellations. These structures are part of a group that includes Budbury House, Budbury Place, St Mary's Chapel, and No 12 Wine Street Terrace.
