Description
The Churchyard Gatepiers, Gates, and Lamp Bracket located to the south of St Mary's Chapel date from the early to mid-19th century. They are constructed from ashlar and take the form of octagonal columns featuring moulded bases and annulets. The columns have octagonal capitals adorned with acanthus leaves in low relief. Above the gateway, there are wrought-iron scrolls that support a lamp-bracket, although no lamp is present. A single wrought-iron gate with a scrolled top completes the structure. These gatepiers and gates are part of a group that includes Budbury House, Budbury Place, St Mary's Chapel, and No 12 Wine Street Terrace.
