Description

Hampstead Cottage is a house that dates from the 18th century and was altered in the late 19th century. The original structure is built from chalkstone with brick dressings and features a patterned tile roof. It is two stories high with three bays, and the entrance leads to a cross passage that is accessed through a 20th-century lattice porch. The cottage has 2- and 3-light diamond leaded windows and gable stacks.

In the late 19th century, a two-bay cross wing was added between the first house and Marlborough Road. This addition is constructed from red and yellow brick with timber framing in the gable and has a tiled roof with crested ridges. The side elevation over the road features plate glass sashes and tripartite sashes.
