Description

Half Moon Cottage is a building that combines three cottages into one house, dating from the 18th to 19th century. It is constructed of stone rubble with a facing of banded chalkstone flint and brick, topped with a thatched roof. The structure is two stories high, with each original cottage consisting of one bay and a side passage. The entrances are now located in the rear elevation of a lean-to. The windows are timber casements, featuring three lights with segmental heads on the ground floor and two lights on the first floor. There are brick stacks, with the principal stack positioned between the second and third bays, which includes a datestone marked JC 1841.
