Description

The village pump located on the road island at the start of South Street is a hand-operated lift pump from the 19th century. It is made of cast iron and sits on a raised brick base, which is topped with an iron sheet. The pump features a large shallow tray for water, a high-level spout, and a lower-level valve cock.
