Description
Bay House is a house built around 1850. It features banded flint and chalkstone on sarsen lower walls. The building is two stories high with an attic and consists of three bays, along with a left extension that is one story high and has an attic, made of brick. The roofs are tiled. The central entrance has a six-panelled door, with the upper panels being glazed, and is set within a lattice porch. There are 20th-century hipped bay windows on either side of the central hallway, which have timber-paned windows. The first floor has 16-pane sash windows. The eaves are cogged, and the roof is covered with red and dark red tiles arranged in a bold pattern. There are gable stacks, and the roof of the extension is brought forward over a 20th-century garage entrance.
