Description

Red Cottage is an 18th-century house built with Flemish brickwork and a tiled roof. It is two stories high, with four bays and one room depth. The entrance, originally in the second bay, has been moved to the right end bay around 1960; it is now panelled and features sidelights and a canopy. The house has six-pane sash windows with segmental heads. A plat band is present, which has been cut by lowered first floor windows. The brick eaves are dentilled, indicating that the roof was lowered in the 19th century. There is a stack at the left end of the building, and the forecourt is made of sarsen cobbles.
