Description

This barn, likely built in the early 18th century, is located in West Knoyle. It is constructed of dressed limestone and features a hipped roof made of corrugated asbestos. The barn consists of three bays and has hips, with a hipped porch at the center of each side; the eastern porch includes a 20th-century extension. Inside, the structure has collar and tie-beam trusses with vertical struts supporting the lower tier of butt purlins. The aisle posts are jowled and have curved braces connecting to the arcade plates and tie-beams.
