Description

Keysley Farmhouse is an early 18th-century and late 18th-century farmhouse situated on the downs south of the Wylye Valley. It is constructed of Flemish bond brick, with tiled and Welsh slate roofs and brick stacks, arranged in an L-shaped plan. The principal two-storey, three-window front features sash and casement windows. A six-panelled door with a transom light sits within a late 18th-century, plain ashlar case, to the right of a blocked doorway. A small, early 18th-century canted bay and a two-light casement window are located to the left. The first floor has two two-light casement windows to the left, a Venetian window with a sash within a plain ashlar case, a dentil brick cornice, and stone quoins to the right-hand addition. The rear of the farmhouse incorporates 20th-century casement windows and a glazed door. A 20th-century rebuild forms a rear wing with patio doors and casements. The interior remains uninspected. The farmhouse is accompanied by associated farm buildings dating to the early 19th century or late 20th century.
