Description
Upton Dairy is a farmhouse, likely built in the mid-19th century for the Seymour family of Knoyle House, which has since been demolished. The structure is made of rubble stone and dressed limestone, topped with a tiled roof featuring notable gable end twisted stacks made of rubbed brick with stone bases. It is two stories high and has two windows on the front. The central gabled porch contains a four-panelled door, with a three-light casement window on either side. On the first floor, there are two three-light casement windows. Lean-to extensions are present on the sides, each with planked doors and wavy barge boards. This farmhouse is a good example of estate building in the parish.
