Description

These garden steps, dating from the mid-19th century, are located to the northeast of the Manor House Hotel. Constructed from ashlar stone, the steps consist of three flights featuring intricately carved stone balustrading and stone piers that support decorative urns. The steps widen and the balustrading flares out at the Manor House end. At the top, there is a stone bridge with a solid ashlar parapet that overlooks the service drive. This approach leads to the formal garden, which was designed by G.P. Scrope and is situated to the northeast of the house.
