Description

Bellcote to the east side of the Italian Garden of the Manor House Hotel is a 15th-century structure made of ashlar stone. Originally a bellcote from the west end of St. Peter's Church in Biddestone, which was demolished in 1846, it was re-erected as a garden seat in the mid-19th century. The bellcote is octagonal and features four plain piers that are shouldered to support an octagonal spire with a finial. The piers have been lengthened, and two openings at the rear have been partially blocked to create a stone seat.
