Description
The garden seat, located on the north side of the Italian Garden northeast of the Manor House Hotel, dates from the mid-19th century. It is a stone replica of a 15th-century bellcote situated on the east side of the Italian Garden. The structure is octagonal and features four plain piers that support an octagonal spire topped with a finial. The rear part has two openings that have been blocked to create a stone seat. This garden ornament was introduced by G.P. Scrope to complement the bellcote from St. Peter's Church in Biddestone, contributing to the formal garden's overall design.
