Description
The gate piers and wing walls to the driveway of Market Lavington Manor House, likely built around 1900 in an earlier style, are constructed of brick with stone dressings. There are four brick piers, each approximately 90 centimeters high, featuring inner stops, a stone-moulded offset to the plinth, a moulded cornice, and steps. The two inner piers are topped with large vase finials, while the two outer piers have ball finials. Attached to the piers are low wing walls that create a splayed junction with the road. These walls are about 80 centimeters high, made of brick with a stone band and bullnosed stone coping. They form a convex and concave shape, ending in low hemispherical facetted semi-domes. The north side wall is connected to the Lodge.
