Description
Colham Mill Farmhouse is a house dated 1669, constructed from rubble stone with stone tiled roofs and a stack at the south end wall. It stands two-and-a-half storeys high and features a gabled front that originally had two windows. The windows are recessed ovolo-moulded stone mullions with relieving arches above the ground and first floor windows, and they are fitted with leaded lights. There are two 2-light attic windows, and on the right side, there is a 3-light window on the first floor with a hoodmould, along with a ground floor 9-panel door, both of which are original. The left side has first and ground floor windows that have been replaced by a pair of early 18th century sashes in raised moulded surrounds with cornices, featuring 12-pane sashes and original relieving arches above. A datestone inscribed "HN 1669" is located on the first floor. To the right, a wing projects, partially obscuring the first floor 3-light window. This wing is two storeys high with a two-window range, including one flush ovolo-moulded 2-light window and one recessed ovolo-moulded 2-light window, both with dripstones, on the first floor. The ground floor has a door and a 20th-century 3-light window. Original stone mullion windows are present on the north and south end walls and at the rear. The rear features a projecting gable to the left and a wall-face gable to the right, with the end and rear walls being roughly rendered. The interior has not been inspected.
