Description

Brookside is a house dating from the later 18th century, constructed of rubble stone with a stone-tiled mansard roof and ashlar end wall stacks. It is two storeys and has an attic, with a three-window front. The windows all have concrete lintels that replaced earlier timber lintels. The house features paired small-pane windows on either side, and a 12-pane window on the first floor in the centre. The door has a renewed lintel, set under a stone hood supported by brackets. Leaded attic windows are situated in the end walls. A lean-to addition is at the rear, and a west-end extension is also present. The property is listed for its group value.
