Description
Vine Cottage is a house that appears to date from the early 18th century but is said to have origins from 1660. It is constructed of rubble stone and features a slate roof with coped gable end wall stacks. The building has two storeys and an attic. The south front displays a symmetrical three-window arrangement, shifted to the left, with a blank wall to the right that lacks an obvious joint. The windows are two-light flush cyma-moulded mullion windows, with three above and two below, accompanied by a central door that has a moulded flush surround and a hood supported by brackets. There is a drip course above the ground floor, which steps over the hood. The attic includes a single light with a dripstone at the west end, while the east end features a two-light window in the attic and a three-light window on the first floor, both with dripstones, which may have been repositioned.
