Description
Greystone Cottage is a house dating from the mid to later 18th century, constructed of coursed rubble with white lime pointing on the east front, and features a stone tiled roof with coped gables and end wall stacks. The building has two storeys and an attic, presenting a three-window range. The formal front includes two hipped dormers and three 12-pane sash windows on the first floor, along with two pairs of 12-pane sash windows on the ground floor, all set within moulded architraves. There are cornices above the pairs of ground floor windows. The central entrance features a six-panel door with a hood supported by brackets. At the rear, there is a stair tower topped with a hipped roof, which includes a large 18-pane stair light. Additionally, there is a north end extension that has a stack and a low wing projecting east from the northeast corner of the main front, with an ashlar front to the south, featuring a pair of 12-pane sashes and a hipped dormer.
