Description
This is a summerhouse, believed to have been a toll-house, dating from the mid-19th century. It is constructed from coursed rubble stone and has a circular shape with a conical stone-tiled roof featuring paired central stacks. The building has two storeys visible from the road, with two blocked 2-light flush mullion windows on the ground floor, and a drip course running around the structure. Above, there are two similar windows with small-paned casements. Attached to the west is a Tudor-arched doorway, which has a drip course that continues from the main building and is topped with a parapet. There is a lean-to roof behind the doorway leading to the ground floor. At the back, an earth embankment features a flight of stone steps set between low, coped walls, leading to a door for the upper room.
