Description
The Pearse Mausoleum, located in the graveyard 10 meters north of the vestry at the Church of St. Mary, was built before 1814. It is constructed from limestone and designed as a Grecian cube. The mausoleum features inset short Doric columns at each corner and panels with a chased key design. It has a simple cornice and attic adorned with acroteria. Atop the structure is a sarcophagus, which also has chased sides. There are brass plaques on the ends that bear a dedication to the Pearse family. This mausoleum is mentioned in Pilkington's Buildings of England and Wales from 1814.
