Description

No 54 is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of diaper brick with flint side walls and features a thatched roof. The building is two stories tall and has two bays, with the right bay being the earlier one that was raised when the left bay was added. The entrance is located to the left of the earlier bay and consists of a wide half-glazed door beneath a zinc ogee and wire lattice porch. The house has three-light iron-paned windows with segmental heads on the ground floor and three-light timber windows on the first floor. The thatched roof is hipped on the left side, and there is a stack on the right. At the rear, there is a thatched link connecting to No 53.
