Description
Nos 67 and 68 on the A419 are a row of cottages dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century, now functioning as a house and shop. The buildings are constructed of brick with flint and feature a thatched roof. Originally one storey, they were raised to two storeys, likely in the early 19th century.
No 67 is symmetrical around a central hall, with a 20th-century door and a single bracketed canopy. It has small canted flanking bays with 20th-century windows and 2-light leaded casements on the first floor. There is a stack on the left side.
No 68 consists of one bay with an added wide hay on the right, which includes a 12-pane flush shop window with a segmental head. The extension has 2-light windows and 3-light leaded casements on the first floor, with a stack on the left and a thatched hipped roof on the right. The rear wing features a weatherboarded return wall.
