Description
Nos 46 and 48 on the A419 are houses dating from the 18th to 19th century. They are constructed of red and blue brick and feature a thatched roof. The buildings are two stories high with two bays, extended towards the road by a third wide bay, and include a rear wing that has two bays, made of brick and flint, with one story and an attic. There is a 20th-century one-story extension to the left. The entrance is located to the right of the second bay, opposite the stack. The brick facade displays blue vitrified headers and a band at the first floor level. There is a glazed door set in a 20th-century gabled brick porch. The ground floor has timber casement windows with segmental heads. The original two-bay house has gable stacks, while the thatched extension features a hipped roof and a flush dormer at the rear, which includes a three-light window and a leaded fanlight.
