Description

This is a mid-19th century detached house with Gothic detailing. It is constructed of ashlar stone, with a slate roof featuring paired brackets to the eaves cornice, and brick end chimneys. The exterior features side pier strips with incised lancets on the first floor, and a band with cut-out quatrefoils above the ground floor, mitred over the piers. The windows are arranged in two ranges, with two-light mullion and transom casements featuring moulded Tudor heads and hood moulds. A similar, but blind, window sits above the central doorway, which has an ogee-capped and crocketted panel in the lower part. The central doorway has a Tudor arch with a hood mould and a half-glazed door. A stone garden wall extends from the south-east corner and incorporates three large moulded quatrefoils with inset shields. Plain railings are present at the front.
