Description

No 289 is a house that was once two cottages, dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It features roughcast walls made of chalk and flint, with a brick gable end on the west side and a thatched roof. The building is single storey with an attic and consists of three bays, including a central living room, a parlour to the east, and a service room to the west that contains the entrance. The entrance has a boarded door with a glazed panel, and there are paned timber windows throughout. The north front has two flush dormers, while the rear has two large outshuts at the end bays. The interior includes a chamfered spine beam in the living room with run-out stops.
