Description

This is an 18th-century house, originally two cottages, located on the north side of Figheldean in Ablington. The construction is of flint and chalkstone, with roughcast rendering on both main elevations. It features a thatched roof, and is arranged as a single storey and attic with four bays. The central bay contains a half-glazed door protected by a pitched thatched porch. The windows are timber-framed with paned glass. The roof is half-hipped to the east, and there are two brick stacks. At the rear, on the south side, a weatherboarded lean-to porch extends from the door in the eastern bay, and a lean-to weatherboarded outbuilding adjoins the western bay.
