Description

The W. Holborow monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 11 metres south of the southeast angle of the tower of the Church of St. James. This mid-18th century tomb is made of ashlar stone and features two shield plaques on each side, along with a fielded centre strip and angles. It has a moulded base and a capstone that breaks forward over the piers. The inscription commemorates W. Holborow, who died in 1748, and A. Holborow, who died in 1729.
