Description
Honeybrook Farmhouse, which includes a barn range and beebole, dates from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It is constructed of rubble stone with a stone tiled roof. The farmhouse features an ashlar stack at the west end and an end wall to the rear wing. It is two stories tall and has an 'L'-shaped plan. The south front has a large gable and a two-window range consisting of three-light ovolo-moulded mullion windows with hoodmoulds. There is a central door with a hood supported by brackets. The rear of the building has a door with a hood on brackets and a two-story rear range added behind the north end gable, which runs east to west and has a two-window range with a slate-roofed lean-to against the north wall. Attached to the west end wall of the main house is a stone tiled barn range that features a five-chamber ashlar beebole on the south wall. The beebole has four chambers in the square lower part and a fifth set in a pedimental upper section with coping over. This beebole is identical to the one at The Little House on Cuttle Lane.
