Description
Langber Farm is a farmhouse and barn, now functioning as a house, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. The building is constructed from rubble and features a stone slate and slate roof. It has two storeys and consists of two bays, with an added single bay that was once used as a dairy on the ground floor, which still retains external access. The openings have plain reveals, except for the two windows to the left of the door on each floor, which each have two lights and a recessed square mullion. Inside the house, there is a small fireplace of 18th-century type and a larger fireplace of the same type that includes a beehive oven on one side. The barn is mostly featureless and has three trusses with collars. The wall of the barn that adjoins the house has a plinth at the base, supporting a light pair of crucks that are butted at the apex and are entirely embedded in the current wall, along with stubs of a ridge-piece and purlin.
