Description

The gate piers to Ferne Park, dating from the 18th century, are made of limestone ashlar and feature square piers topped with a cornice and a stepped capping that culminates in a pineapple finial. The gates themselves are wooden and were added in the 19th century. These piers mark the entrance to the park of Ferne House, which was demolished in 1966.
