Description
Dairyhouse Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from around 1700. It is constructed of dressed limestone with a concrete tiled roof, which was formerly thatched, and features gable-end brick stacks. The gable end facing the road is two storeys high with a three-window front that is set at right angles to the road. The central entrance consists of a planked door within a chamfered stone case, flanked by recessed chamfered side-lights, and there are three-light mullioned windows. The basement includes a two-light mullioned window on the right. On the first floor, there is a central two-light mullioned window with a three-light mullioned window on either side. The right side of the building has a blocked one-light chamfered window on the first floor and a two-light mullioned window in the attic. At the rear, there is a 19th-century hipped porch with a margin-pane half-glazed door, flanked by three-light mullioned windows; the first floor has a central two-light mullioned window with a three-light mullioned window on either side. Inside, the farmhouse features chamfered beams and an open fireplace with a chamfered lintel. Attached to the left is a single-storey extension that has a 20th-century door.
