Description

These estate cottages, numbered 82 (Pear Tree House) and 83, were built around 1850 to 1870. They are constructed of diaper brick with buff brick dressings and decorative elements, and have slate roofs. Number 82 is of two bays and features a central 5-panel door, with the upper panel glazed. It has small, margin-glazed windows set within segmental arched heads, each with a compound brick key. A moulded plinth runs along the base. Number 83 is a single bay and incorporates a lateral entrance door and a two-storey arch feature in the right-hand gable. A rear extension is attached to Number 82. A brick stack is located on the left-hand gable, and an altered stack stands on the party wall between the two cottages.
