Description

The Croft is an early 18th-century detached cottage situated on the west side of Berry Wood Lane in Donhead St. Mary. The cottage is constructed of dressed limestone with a half-hipped thatched roof, featuring a brick stack on the right side. It is a single-storey building with an attic, displaying three windows. A planked door is located to the right of the centre of the front facade, flanked by two two-light leaded casement windows to the left and a single three-light leaded casement window to the right. The attic, positioned within raised eaves to the right, contains a single two-light casement window. The left return features a two-light casement window serving the attic, and a 20th-century lean-to extension is attached to the left. The interior was inaccessible during a survey in October 1985.
