Description
Church Hill Farmhouse is a semi-detached farmhouse dating from the mid-17th century, with alterations made in the early 19th century. It is constructed of dressed limestone and features a thatched roof with gable end brick stacks. The building has a gable end facing the road and is two stories high with three windows that contain sash frames.
The façade includes a chamfered plinth and a central four-panelled door set within a gabled porch. To the right of the door is a 20th-century casement window with a concrete lintel, and to the left is a two-light casement window. On the first floor, there are three 16-pane flush sash windows. The right side of the building has a single recessed hollow-chamfered casement window with a hoodmould on the ground floor, and a blocked two-light recessed hollow-chamfered mullioned casement window on the first floor.
The rear and interior of the farmhouse were not accessible at the time of the survey in October 1985. There is a shop attached to the rear, which dates from the late 19th century and is not considered of special interest.
