Description
St Andrew's Cottage is a detached house built in the mid-18th century. It features dressed limestone and has a half-hipped thatched roof with brick stacks that have toothed bands. The building is designed in an L-shape and is two stories tall with four windows that contain sash frames.
The central entrance has a half-glazed door topped with a flat wooden hood supported by iron brackets. To the left of the door is a canted bay window with a four-pane sash, and to the right is a tripartite window with twelve panes and a planked door. On the first floor, there is a tripartite sash window and three flush twelve-pane sashes, all set within moulded architraves. The right side and the rear wing of the cottage also have twelve-pane sash windows. The interior was not accessible during the survey conducted in October 1985.
