Description

Nos 23 to 29 on Bedwin Street are a small row of two-storey red brick cottages, built around 1840 to 1850. They stand on a rendered plinth and feature a low-pitched common gable end slate roof with flat projecting eaves. Each cottage has one window, which consists of recessed sashes with later glazing bars. The entrances are paired, with doors that have four flush panels set in flush panelled reveals. The doorcases are plain pilasters with a frieze and cornice, all linked by lead coping. These cottages, along with the Royal George Public House and Nos 23 to 45, form a cohesive group.
