Description
Nos 47, 48, and 49 are three estate cottages built around 1870-1880, located in a row on the east side of West Overton Lockeridge. They feature Flemish brickwork, which is banded with stone and blue brick, and have a tiled roof. The design is symmetrical, with the outer cottages displaying steep timber-framed gables that have whitewashed noggings on the upper floor. The barge boards of the gables extend down to meet the gable canopies of the porches. Each cottage has boarded doors, although the door for No 49 has been replaced. The windows are timber with panes, set beneath segmental brick arches and a blue flush string. A small gabled dormer is positioned at the center, and there are ribbed and banded brick stacks.
